After Shanghai Donghai Bridge 100MW Offshore Wind Farm demonstration project has smoothly passed 5 years warranty period, Sionvel gained the contract to continue to provide O&M service for this project. Sinovel's international business development made steady progress, with a cumulative 300MW of installed capacity across a variety of regional markets, including Turkey, Italy, Sweden, Brazil and South Africa. On October 8, Sinovel successfully installed China's first 6MW wind turbine prototype at Lingang Industrial Base in Sheyang, Jiangsu Province.

In December, 19 sets of Sinovel's 3MW wind turbines were connected to the grid at the Jiangsu Rudong Wind Farm developed by China Longyuan Power Group – the first intertidal wind farm project in the world.
