EWEA Offshore 2011 was held at the RAI Conference and Exhibition Center in Amsterdam, Holland from November 29 to December 1, 2011. Headed by Sinovel, the biggest and most important enterprise in the industry, a number of Chinese wind-power equipment manufacturers appeared at the event. Sinovel used a 120m2 exhibition stand to display its splendid achievements in recent years, particularly its 6MW offshore wind turbine generator system, which demonstrated China’s powerful strength in this area and  attracted quite a lot of visitors.

China’s first 6MW wind turbine generator system, independently developed by Sinovel, was officially put into production in its Comprehensive Industrial Base in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. So far in China, this is the biggest wind turbine generator system in terms of single-machine capacity. Sinovel SL6000 is China’s first independently developed grid-friendly wind turbine generator system with independent intellectual property right and global advanced technology. It can be widely applied on onshore, offshore and intertidal wind farms with different wind resource conditions.

It is reported that totally 480 enterprises participated in the Exhibition. The event is hosted by EWEA and held in Europe every two years. It is the most professional and influential offshore wind power equipment exhibition in Europe and has been highly regarded by the European and the world wind power industry.
