A grand ceremony was held at Sinovel Jiuquan Manufacturing Base on December 25 to unveil the first 3MW wind turbine and the 300th 1.5MW wind turbine manufactured by Sinovel Wind (Gansu) Co., Ltd. The VIP guests that attended the ceremony were Lu Hao, Secretary of the CPC Gansu Committee and Chairman of the People's Congress Standing Committee of Gansu Province, Xu Shousheng, Governor of Gansu Province and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Gansu Committee, Li Jianhua, Secretary of the CPC Jiuquan Committee and Chairman of Jiuquan People's Congress Standing Committee, and Han Junliang, Board Chairman and President of Sinovel Wind Co., Ltd. Lu Hao, Xu Shousheng and Han Junliang jointly unveiled the first 3MW wind turbine and the 300th 1.5MW wind turbine, indicating that Sinovel Wind (Gansu) Co., Ltd. has officially entered the large-scale mass production stage.

On the same day, Sinovel Wind Co., Ltd. signed the agreement with Datang Gansu Power Generation Co., Ltd., China Huadian New Energy Development Co., Ltd. and CECIC Wind-power Investment Co., Ltd. on the GW-class Jiuquan 3MW wind turbine pilot project. Han Junliang said at the signing ceremony that the successful launch of the first 3MW wind turbine and signing the agreement on the GW-class Jiuquan 3MW wind turbine pilot project thanks to the generous support of the CPC Gansu Committee, the People's Governments of Gansu Province, the CPC Jiuquan Committee and Jiuquan People's Government would remarkably promote the rapid development of the wind power industry in Gansu Province as well as the whole country. Sinovel will work closely together with the developers based on the present sound cooperation and strive to build the GW-class Jiuquan 3MW wind turbine pilot project into a high-end model project in China and around the world.
